Qualifications and Experience
I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from UC Berkeley in 1989. After working for several years as a preschool teacher and as a group home manager for developmentally disabled adults, I went back to school in 1995. I earned my Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Humboldt State University in 1997. In my post-graduate internships, I worked with individual clients and families; I also ran groups for domestic violence offenders as well as groups for adult children of alcoholics. I became licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in 2002, and have had a private practice since.
